Live Anywhere Near Dexter, Michigan?
We Want YOU to Join The Royal Pains!

*****

The Royal Pains are a great bunch of guys who want to do nothing more than go out and have fun.

To be a Royal Pain you must have the following abilities:

  • Live somewhere near Dexter, Michigan.
(As long as you can attend our monthly events.)
  • Have a good sense of humor.
  • The need to meet with other guys in a fun setting, beware pizza and libations may be involved.
  • The ability to laugh so hard you might wet yourself - note the word might.
Depends are optional and we don't want to know...
If you would like to be a part of our Crew and you are a guy who enjoys going out with friends, doing things like BBQ's, fishing, sporting events, local bar/restaurant testing, attending basically any manly-man event that we can think up, etc.. If this sounds like you then send Andy Smith an email headhardhat@hardhatbrotherhood.com and we will sign you up. Be prepared to have good friends and good times with a Crew that swears by the motto: you are as old as you feel. It's time to start enjoying life again and if that means some beer and pizza along the way, all the better.

Our First Event - Nothing fancy but fun none the less...
Our First HHBrotherhood Event - A simple BBQ and some fishing for largemouth bass. Guy Stuff does not have to be fancy.

Where did the Crew name of The Royal Pains come from?

Crew #1 The Royal Pains is the founding group which started the Hard Hat Brotherhood. It's name originated from a combination of events. First was the appointed name for our own Prince Chucky (Charles Ramsey) who's wife is a Red Hatter. It was not long after we started getting together as a group when the Head Hard Hat (Andy Smith) also received a royal title from his wife Queen Char. Andy would then always be known to The Flaming Red Divine Divas (Queen Char's RHS Chapter) as Prince Annwoo of Humor and Goofiness. The sound of the titles stuck which created the royal part. The pains part came simple enough. Our wives always said that we were a 'pain' in the buttocks so it seemed like a good match.
By the way, if you notice the four stars in our Crew logo. They represent each of the four original founders...

Why Hawaiian shirts?

What can I say, we are guys and we actually love the tacky look. Tie-dye t-shirts covered with Hawaiian just seemed to add that extra touch of guyness. Note we had the Hawaiian shirts even before the ''Classic'' HHBrotherhood t-shirts were ever printed.

Speaking at a recent Red Hat Society/ Hard Hat Brotherhood Event

We enjoy being in parades and sometimes Andy does speaking engagements.
The other guys come as honored guests. We always have a blast at these.
